Abstract

Patients of phlegmatic and melancholic type, especially those predisposed to anxiety, constitute a risk group for a more severe course of arterial hypertension. Therapy of hypertension associated with correcting the psychosomatic status during a period of increased or decreased solar activity reduced the rate of complications among hypertensive patients to values comparable with healthy individuals of similar temperament and anxiety level.
