Abstract

An experiment was carried out on 86 white male rats of the "Wistar" line with the reproduction of a model of primary hypothyroidism by surgical removal of the thyroid glands. Pieces of the liver were selected for histological exam- ination with their subsequent fixation in 10% buffered neutral formalin. The immunohistochemical method showed an increase in the positive expression of caspase-3 on the twenty-first to twenty-eighth days of the experiment and a decrease in Bcl-2 expression starting from the twenty-first day, an increase in the proliferative activity index according to Ki67 expression on the twenty-eighth day, with the beginning of its decrease by the end of the forty-fifth days of experience.
