A qualitative analysis of the expression of the iNOS biomarker in the hippocampus and dentate gyrus of rats was performed when modeling chronic alcohol intoxication. Intense iNOS expression was detected in the hippocampus and dentate gyrus of alcoholized rats, which indicates the role of NO in neurotoxicity processes through activation of the nitroxidergic system in the rat brain.
