Currently, the possibility of using adrenoblockers for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis is actively discussed. The mechanism of osteoprotective action of adrenoblockers is poorly studied. The aim of the study was to compare the effect of metoprolol and propranolol on the growth of bone tissue cells in normal and high concentrations of epinephrine. The drugs did not directly stimulate the growth of bone tissue cells. The non-selective beta-blocker propranolol reduced bone resorption caused by high concentrations of epinephrine.
