Medical tourism is a type of tourism, which involves the movement of people from places of permanent residence to other regions in order to consume a wide range of medical services of varying degrees of complexity. To increase the number of foreign patients, medical organizations in the Volgograd region need to fulfill a number of conditions, including paying attention to the quality of services provided, obtaining a certificate of compliance with international standards of quality and safety of medical care, etc. In this article, the authors suggest possible strategic directions and action plan for the participation of medical organizations in the development of medical tourism.
