INFLUENCE OF DIABENOL ON THE ENZYMES INVOLVED IN THE INTESTINAL DIGESTION OF CARBOHYDRATES

Abstract

The study explores the influence of diabenol on utilization of disaccharides (sucrose) and polysaccharides (starch) in the intestines of rats. It also investyigates the effects of diabenol on the inhibition of α-glucosidase. We have established that diabenol insignificantly increases utilization of disaccharides and does not affect the activity of α-glucosidase.
