Abstract

Mutagenicity of a new antidiabetic agent (GPR119 receptor agonist) for type 2 diabetes was investigated. Microplate format mutagenicity assay (Ames MPF™ Penta I) was used. Salmonella typhimurium TA100 and TA1535 strains were used for the detection of base substitution mutations (GC base pairs) and TA98 and TA1537 strains were used for the detection of frameshift mutations. As a result, the tested compound showed no mutagenic activity in Ames MPF™ Penta I.
