Abstract

The paper discusses a case of prolonged fever with mononucleosis-like syndrome determined by herpes virus type 6 in a 5-year old child. The authors show that the virus can induce mononucleosis-like syndrome in children, which has the same clinical presentations as Epstein–Barr virus.
