Abstract

The paper presents an analysis of activity indices of municipal in-patient departments in Volgograd according to their basic medical care profiles in dynamics over a period from 2006 to 2010. Proposals about rational use of hospital bedspace and its structure to optimize the in-patient management and to increase medical care quality, are discussed.
