Processing of 1-benzyl uracil with chloroacetanilide containing different substituents in the aromatic cycle we performed synthesis of new derivatives. The yield of target compounds amounted to 73—96 %. Physico-chemical and spectral properties of the synthesized compounds were studied. These compounds appear to be potential anti-HIV-1 and anti-CMV agents.
