Clinical methods of monitoring inflammatory-destructive lesions of the mucosa of the oral cavity

Abstract

This review is devoted to the analysis of the literature on the development and application of clinical methods for monitoring inflammatory and destructive lesions on the oral mucosa. Visual examination of the oral mucosa makes it possible to determine the type of morphological element, the presence of an inflammatory background, but cannot give an objective assessment of the dynamics of the development of the pathological process. Objective planimetric methods for monitoring the healing of erosive and ulcerative lesions of the SOPR can solve this urgent problem.
