An assessment of the influence of valeological conditions and factors of the social environment of life on the indications for anesthesia of childbirth in pregnant women was carried out. It was found that most often pain relief during labor was used in relation to primiparous women aged 20–25 years and with higher education. Conversely, labor pain relief was used much less frequently in young women (under 20 years old) or the oldest (over 30 years old) with a low level of education in the presence of a fourth or fifth pregnancy. It is proposed to take into account the obtained research results when preparing women of various age and social groups for the birth of children, as well as when organizing ob- stetrics in medical institutions.
