Assessment of the changes in clinical condition of the periodontium in children aged from 5 to 14 living in areas with technogenic pollution

Abstract

The aim of the epidemiological and population research was to identify the chnges of the morphological and clinical condition of periodontal tissues in 640 people (320 boys and 320 girls) aged from 5 to 14 years, who were borned and constantly living in areas with technogenic pollution. The study included 640 people from 8 localities of Udmurtia, characterized by high indicators. In the studied localities of Udmurtia Republic the average number of children with healthy periodontal was 29.9 %, 20.4 % had a risk of disease, 23.5 % had a mild periodontal disease, 22.8 % had an average degree of disease and 3.2 % were diagnosed with severe periodontitis.
