Abstract

In an experiment on 20 Mature Wistar rats, morphological changes in the structure of the achilles tendon were evaluated under experimental tendinopathy. When modeling tendinopathy, histological signs characteristic of this condition were revealed: disorganization of collagen structures, mucoid and lipoid degeneration, neovascularization, lymphoid- histiocytic infiltration in the soft tissues adjacent to the tendon and, to a lesser extent, directly in the tendon itself. The in- troduction of PRP in the achilles tendon area against the background of tendinopathy reduces the manifestations of the inflammatory process, contributes to the preservation and, possibly, restoration of its disturbed structure.
