A comparative characterization of various morphological manifestations in helicobacter-associated gastritis was carried out in order to confirm the presence or absence of a correlation between them. The statistical unreliability of a weak positive correlation between the colonization of H. pylori in the gastric mucosa and the activity of inflammation, as well as infiltration of mononuclear leukocytes, was established. In addition, a statistically significant positive medium strength cor- relation was found between the activity of inflammation and mononuclear infiltration, as well as mucosal atrophy and various types of immune responses.
