The study of acute toxicity allows to evaluate the substance according to the survival test and to identify the toxic effect of the substance, which manifests itself after its single use. The specific effect is mostly significant in toxicogenic stage - the early stage of acute poisoning, since the toxicity of many substances is caused by the amount of substance in the body. Objective: to study the acute toxicity of new kappa-opioid - compound RU-1205 administrated intragastrically. Ma- terials and methods: Adult outbred mice of both sexes received compound RU-1205 once in dose range 10 – 5000 mg/kg. Results: LD16, LD50 and LD84 were calculated. Straub tail and jumping activity - classical opioid intoxication symptoms weren’t registered in any group: Conclusion: due to it’s toxicological properties RU-1205 can be affiliated to the low toxicity class, according to the classification of the chemical substances.
