Opinion transformation in mechanism of generation and physiological interpretation of the EEG alpha rhythm

Abstract

The classical definition of the alpha rhythm is the EEG activity, recorded at rest with closed eyes. Previously it was con- sidered that this rhythm is blocked or weakened with opening the eyes, as during intellectual activity. But recently, new data on the relationship of attention and alpha rhythm have been obtained.
