Role of gelatise B and magnesium in impaired balance between aggression factors and protection mechanisms in experimental acetate gastric ulcer

Abstract

In the course of the experiment on 18 white Wistar rats with a developed acetate gastric ulcer we revealed an increase in the specific number and intensity of gelatinase B-positive cell expression using an immunohistochemichal method in the gastric prepyloric tissues. A decrease in the amount of magnesium in the erythrocyte pool of blood obtained from the subclavian vein is in negative correlation with the parameters characterizing the activity of gelatinase B in ulcerated tissues and in positive correlation with the area of the ulcerous defect.
