RELATIVE EFFICACY OF ADSORBENTS IN THE PURIFICATION OF INDUSTRIAL BISCHOFITE

Abstract

The technical grade water solution of magnesium chloride (bischofite) was purified by adsorption method using aluminum oxide, silica gel, activated carbon and magnesium oxide. The use of magnesium oxide yielded much more effective removal of impurities and 80-time reduction in iron concentration.
