INFUENCE OF METFORMIN ON DEVELOPMENT OF INSULIN RESISTANCE INDUCED BY HIGH-FAT DIET

Abstract

A model of obesity and insulin resistance induced by high-fat diet in rats was simulated. We have provided evidence that the antidiabetic drug of metformin reduces the severity of obesity and insulin resistance, which makes it possible to use a high-fat diet to test compounds with a similar mechanism of action.
