REVISITING THE MICROSTRUCTURAL FEATURES OF THE PERIPHERAL NERVES OF THE BRACHIAL PLEXUS IN THE MEDIUM THIRD OF THE SHOULDER

Abstract

A comprehensive histological study of the median, ulnar and medial cutaneous nerves of the forearm in the middle third of the shoulder was performed. Qualitative and quantitative components of the conductor and stromal components of the peripheral nerves were identified. The morphological evidence of the presence of bilateral asymmetry and general paraneurium of the studied nerves was provided.
