Early restoration of coronary blood flow by means of revascularization is the most effective method of treatment of acute coronary syndrome (ACS). In the first 6 hours of the disease attack a larger part of the myocardium can be saved. Less effective coronary blood flow restoration can be achieved within 6 to 12 hours after the infarction onset.
late coronary revascularization, acute coronary syndrome, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
