Between 2012 and 2014 we operated on 17 patients (males and females, aged 22–49) with high condylar process fractures and dislocation of the head of the mandible. The patients were examined and radiographs were taken under general anaesthesia. Osteotomy of the mandibular ramus was performed, and the head of the mandible was replanted and placed on a large projected bone fragment. Osteorrhaphy was used to fix the fragments of the mandible. This technique allowed us to simplify surgical treatment of oblique fractures, reduce injury rates and complications, reduce the period of temporary disability, and improve the quality of health care.
