The article deals with the problem of the competence of an emergency doctor enabling them to work in emergencies. The findings of a study of neuropsychological stability of emergency doctors were compared with those of doctors of other specialties. The outcomes of the study prove the validity of the Prognos technique when selecting people to work in emergencies. The materials of the study can be used to update the methodological basis of training medical professionals working in emergencies.
