The authors modelled gravitation-induced cerebral lesion on Wistar mature male rats by placing the animals in a centrifuge in the caudal cranial direction. After 4-week exposure the most pronounced morphological changes of the cerebrum were revealed in the hippocampus in the form of edema, neuron shrinkage and hyperchromia in the pyramidal layer of CA1 and CA2 fields, which can be regarded as presentations of cerebral ischemia that promotes neurilogical status disorder.
