Abstract

Among all the urgent tasks of dentistry, periodontal diseases occupy a leading position. Enhancing the effectiveness of their treatment is not only a medical problem but also a big social one. Its significance is determined by the enormous prevalence of various forms of periodontal disease, severity of some of them and the negative influence on the body as a whole, changes in the quality of human life. The article explains the need for an integrated approach to the treatment of periodontal disease.
