The article provides information on tracheobronchoplasty used in lung cancer treatment. One of the distinguishing features of case reports presented in the article is that they rely on absolutely different underlying ideologies. We present the first case of extended pneumonectomy combined with resection of tracheal bifurcation for treating extended lung cancer. In the second case bronchoplastic techniques made it possible to avoid pneumonectomy and preserve the patient’s functional abilities for a subsequent surgical intervention consisting in extirpation of gastric stump in the treatment of multiple primary cancer of the lung and stomach.
