The information-methodological letter summarizes the etiological, epidemiological, clinical and laboratory features of infectious mononucleosis in children living in Volgograd. Special attention is paid to modern approaches to treatment with the use of new dosage forms and formulations. The proposed algorithm of choice of antiviral and antibacterial drugs means taking into account the severity of the disease and the age of patients. The information-methodological letter is intended for pediatricians, infectious diseases specialists, and those attending professional advancement courses.
