Antiviral agents. II. Synthesis of 1-[5-(phenoxy)pentyl]uracil derivatives

Abstract

Condensation of equimolar quantities of 2,4-bis(trimethylsilyloxy)pyrimidine and 1-bromo-5-(aryloxy)pentanes led to 1-[5-(aryloxy)pentyl]uracil derivatives. The yields of target compounds amounted to 62—83 %. Physico-chemical and spectral properties of the synthesized compounds were studied. These compounds appear to be potential antiviral agents.
